YORK COUNTY, Va. (WVEC) -- After Virginia State Troopers were at a meth lab cleanup on Monday, officials released new information that connected a woman's death to the lab.

On May 31, a female victim was found in a home in the 200 block of Choisy Crescent.

Medics rushed her to the hospital where she later died. Her death sparked an investigation on the home, but investigators found nothing hazardous at the time.

After receiving new information on Monday, June 5, the investigation lead authorities to search the Choisy Crescent home a second time.

Officers found four grams of meth, a sports drink bottle used to make meth, a funnel and a small amount of packaging material in a hidden compartment.

The hazmat team was used as a precaution along with York Fire and Life Services standing by per protocol.

The woman's death is still under investigation and her identity has not been released at this time.

Deputies have not released any more details.

The community is not in danger, and the death of the woman is an active investigation.
