(WVEC) -- The U.S. Navy has released two videos showing ships and military members being re-positioned from the US Virgin Island out of Hurricane Maria's path.

Five ships in total were moved out of the barreling Category 4's way.

The ships are the dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS William McLean, the amphibious assault ships USS Kearsarge and USS Wasp, the aviation logistics container ship SS Wright, and the amphibious dock landing ship USS Oak Hill.

All of the ships were in the Caribbean Sea assisting the relief effort of Hurricane Irma.

The U.S. Navy shared a second video specifically of the USS Kearsarge.

USS Kearsarge and USS Oak Hill were deployed at the beginning of September to help in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. It left from Naval Station Norfolk on September 2.

The ships are capable of providing medical support, maritime civil affairs, maritime security, expeditionary logistic support, medium and heavy lift air support, and bring a diverse capability including assessment and security.
