VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC, WTVD) -- A missing North Carolina woman was found alive in Virginia Beach, said a Raleigh–Durham International Airport official.
13News Now confirmed Allison Cope is located at the Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital's emergency room in stable condition.
In a statement released later on Sunday, a spokesperson for Sentara Healthcare said: "Regarding the story about a missing woman from North Carolina found in Virginia Beach and currently at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital, a member of the Sentara media team has spoken with the patient. At our patient's instruction, please do not contact the patient and we are releasing no information about her."
Cope went missing at 3 p.m. on Monday June 26.
According to WTVD, the Airport Authority Police Department was notified that Allison Cope was found alive in Virginia by the Virginia Police Department on Saturday.
Police have not released any further information.
Cope vanished while taking a break from her job at Starbucks inside the Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
The FBI was even involved in the search.
