YORK COUNTY, Va. — Virginia State Police is investigating a single-vehicle crash in York County Tuesday morning where one woman died.
VSP was notified around 4:44 a.m. of the wreck on Penniman Road and Tranquility Drive.
Investigators learned that a 2001 Honda Accord ran off the road and struck a tree. Speed is a pending factor due to the impact of the crash.
Ashley Nicole Yount, 31, was ejected from the car and died on impact. She was from Carrollton, Virginia.
Troopers are still investigating the incident.
