VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- Fans of Chick-fil-A will soon be able to eat their favorite waffle fries and chicken sandwiches inside the restaurant on Virginia Beach Blvd.

For more than 22 years, the Chick-fil-A on Virginia Beach Blvd. has been a drive-thru only location. Last week, the restaurant closed as it prepares to move to a new building.

A new and improved Chick-fil-A will open on Thursday, October 26 at 6 a.m. It will be located at 4752 Virginia Beach Blvd. and one of the biggest changes will be that customers will now be able to eat inside of the restaurant.

Thousands of team members have served hundreds of thousands of people sing the location opened in 1995.

“For the past 22 years, I have served side by side with some amazing team members,” said Franchise Owner Mark Mitchell. “They are truly the reason we have been successful in a location we’ve simply outgrown. We feel so honored to be the caretakers of such a gorgeous special new place. We want our guests to walk in and immediately feel cared about.”

The grand opening will be celebrated with games, prizes, and of course the cow!
