RICHMOND, Va. (WVEC) -- Virginia voters will have one more option when they head to the polls to choose a new governor this November.

The Virginia Department of Elections says Libertarian candidate Cliff Hyra has qualified to be on ballots statewide.

Hyra is a 34-year-old patent attorney from Hanover County. This will be his first run for political office.

Hyra joins Democrat Ralph Northam and Republican Ed Gillespie, who clinched their party's respective nominations earlier this month.
