PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WVEC) -- Portsmouth Humane Society rescued 18 puppies from being euthanized and all of them have been adopted on Saturday.

A van full of American Shelter Dog puppies came to the shelter on Friday from another shelter that had scheduled to put them down.

According to their Facebook page, the other shelter, sadly, just didn't have the room or resources to care for them.

Now through July 3rd, all dogs and cats over 7 months are half off of their adoption fees.

The Portsmouth Humane Society is open on Saturday from 12 to 5 p.m. and Sunday 12 to 4 p.m..
