PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WVEC) -- Police are investigating two shootings that happened within 3 hours of each other Wednesday night.
Police learned of the first shooting after a gunshot victim arrived at Maryview Medical Center on High Street just after 8 p.m.
There is no word on the condition of the victim at this time.
No suspect information has been released.
The second shooting happened in the 1100 block of Virginia Avenue just after 11 p.m.
When emergency crews arrived they found a 21-year-old man who had been shot in the leg several times.
The victim was taken to the hospital. He is expected to survive.
