Admirals kick off "Pink In The Rink" Week

NORFOLK, VA. – The Norfolk Admirals, ECHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators, kicked off the activities surrounding the Admirals Pink in the Rink game. Pink in the Rink, presented by Sentara Cancer Network, is the Admirals 11th annual breast cancer awareness game. At the press conference the Admirals will unveiled the Pink in the Rink Smash Car Tuesday afternoon that will be on the plaza through the conclusion of the Pink in the Rink game, Saturday, Oct. 28. At the conclusion of the press conference fans will have the opportunity to take swings at the smash car to support the fight against breast cancer until 2pm.

The “Smash Car,” which was made popular by the Nashville Predators during their recent playoff runs, is a car that fans will have the opportunity to take a sledge hammer to. Participating fans can donate $5 for one swing or $10 for three swings and receive a limited- edition Pink in the Rink t-shirt. Proceeds from the Smash Car will support breast cancer awareness charities.
