Norfolk State put themselves in good position in the first half for their first win of the season. They couldn't close the deal and lost to Kent State 79-70 on Wednesday night at Echols Hall.

Four players scored in double figures led by Preston Bungei with 16. The Spartans (0-7), led 32-28 at intermission but early in the second half the Golden Flashes made their run and NSU could not recover.

It's the first time in program history the Spartans have lost their first seven games.
