NORFOLK, Va.- It's that time of the year where several area colleges will hold basketball camps for children and Norfolk State University was no different. Men's head basketball, Robert Jones held his 4th annual Green and Gold Basketball Camp. Around 100 children were in attendance and got guidance from former Spartan and current New York Knicks forward, Kyle O'Quinn. "You want the kids to leave with something", he says. "The kid may learn a new move, but letting them know the opportunity they have".
Jones thought a camp like his is an investment into the future. "Young campers can become young fans which become older supporters in the long run", he says. The camp started on Monday and will continue through June 22nd.
