A busy Saturday for several area high schools in boys basketball. In Class 4, Lake Taylor got 25 points from Dereon Seabron as they won over Monacan 77-58. The Titans will next face King's Fork on Tuesday from Churchland High School. Joining them are the Cox Falcons, who got a team high 16 points from Tayvion Robinson as they held off Franklin County 53-50 in Class 6. They will next face Western Branch on Tuesday from Ocean Lakes High School.

Not so fortunate were the Salem SunDevils who tried to rally from 15 points down in the second half only to fall short to Highland Springs 63-57 in Class 5. The same could be said for the Phoebus Phantoms who lost on the road in the Class 3 state quarterfinals to John Marshall 77-74. Antwan Miles topped Phoebus with 25 points as they finish the season 21-5.
