WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WVEC) -- Traffic is starting to move again, after a major crash shut down part of westbound Interstate 64 in York County on Thursday.

All westbound lanes were blocked for almost three hours at mile marker 243, near Humelsine Parkway, after a tractor trailer overturned on the roadway.

The road reopened shortly after 11:30 a.m.

State Police say the accident happened when the truck went off the road and the driver over-corrected, causing it to jack-knife and flip over.

The driver, 29-year-old Cortney Lynn Slater of Reisterstown, Maryland, suffered minor injuries. He was charged with reckless driving.
