Beyonce to appear at 50th annual CMAs

It's official: Beyonce will be getting in formation on the CMA Awards stage tonight.

The award show's co-host Brad Paisley confirmed the appearance  in a Twitter post .

"Frequently, country crosses over," Paisley wrote. "But every now & then a major pop superstar wants to be a part of this too. Welcome, Beyoncé."

Rumors of Beyonce's performance have been swirling for a while. On Tuesday an employee working backstage at Bridgestone Arena posted this intriguing photo on Facebook. It appears the Facebook post has been removed or set to private.

So, what could Beyonce have planned for tonight's show? Fans are convinced she'll be opening the evening by performing her country-inspired song "Daddy Lessons" with the Dixie Chicks — and well, that makes a lot of sense. The Dixie Chicks have been covering "Daddy Lessons" in concert, and Beyonce clearly recorded the tune with a country audience in mind.
