ABC13 celebrates annual Angel Tree holiday program

NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- We're celebrating another holiday season with the Angel Tree.

Every year since 1984, we've partnered with the Salvation Army to provide clothes to thousands of children in Hampton Roads. You'll see decorated Angel Trees at local malls and businesses with info about a child in need.

In past years, the Angel Tree campaign provided gifts of clothing to over 7,200 children in South Hampton Roads.

Angel Tree is an opportunity for the public to "adopt an angel" for Christmas. Individuals should purchase at least two clothing items for their "angel" and return them unwrapped to the location where they picked-up the tag by December 5.
