With Halloween right around, children around the nation are strategizing how to get the biggest candy haul.
Here in Hampton Roads, there are a few rules you need to know and they vary from city to city.
Kids 12 and under can go trick or treating Monday night, but they must be accompanied by an adult.
Here is when kids in different Hampton Roads cities are allowed to Trick-or-Treat:
Norfolk: children must be done by 8 p.m.
Virginia Beach: begins at dusk, children must be done by 8 p.m.
Suffolk: trick-or-treating is allowed until 8 p.m.
Chesapeake: kids can gather candy from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Portsmouth: trick-or-treating runs from 5:30 pm until 8 p.m.
Hampton: begins at dusk, children must be done by 8 p.m.
Newport News: trick-or-treaters must be done by 8 p.m.
Williamsburg: begins at 6 p.m., runs through 8 p.m.
