Town Center offering two holiday activities for families

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) Shoppers are invited to get into the holiday spirit by visiting Town Center's two new holiday-themed attractions. 

'Santa's Cottage' has been opened up on Central Park Avenue and will remain open every weekend from November 25- December 18th. 

Activities at 'Santa's Cottage' will include:

  • Free Holiday Ornament making
  • Free 'Letter to Santa'
  • Complimentary Gift Wrapping provided by Guiding Eyes for the Blind, donations accepted
  • Toys for Tots, Drop-off location
  • Pictures with Santa, starting at $25
  • Complimentary Gift Guides

Hours of Operation are Friday: 5p.m. – 8p.m., Saturday: 12p.m. – 6p.m., Sunday: 12p.m. – 5p.m.

Various businesses at Town Center are also participating in the first annual Festival of Trees and Window Display Competition. 

The store fronts have been decorated by the businesses, and shoppers are encouraged to vote for their favorite displays. 

The winning business will receive $500 to donate to their charity of choice.

  • Eclectic Design Florist and Gifts – "Beautiful Blooms" Tree
  • Free People – “Light and Bright, a Free People Holiday” Window Display supporting Girls, Inc.
  • Just Cupcakes - "Sweets" Tree
  • Monkee’s of Virginia Beach – “A Few of Our Favorite Things” Window Display supporting Ruin Creek Animal Protection Society
  • Mrs. Bones – “Dog Nativity Scene” Window Display supporting Wildlife Response
  • P.F. Chang’s – "Asian Inspired: Farm to Wok, Lucky Cat, All Things P.F. Chang's" Tree supporting Give Kids The World Village
  • Simply Fresh Café and Market – “Merry Winemas” Tree supporting American Diabetes Association
  • Sumatra Salon and Spa – “Spa La La La La” Tree supporting Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Hampton Roads Chapter
