NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- A man was transported to the hospital Sunday morning with life threatening injuries after being stabbed.
Around 2:40 a.m., police were called to the 5500 block of E. Virginia Beach Boulevard for a possible stabbing victim.
Once authorities arrived they found a 36-year-old man suffering from a severe laceration.
He was immediately transported from the scene to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He is listed in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
During preliminary investigation, police determined the stabbing was a result of an altercation between two individuals.
Police identified the second party involved, an adult male, and took him into custody without further incident.
