Vice President Mike Pence has made a three-stop visit to North Carolina

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Vice President Mike Pence has made a three-stop visit to North Carolina, including a trip to the state's largest city to tout President Trump's tax overhaul law.

Pence was the keynote speaker at an event in Charlotte sponsored by the nonprofit America First Policies.

The vice president used job growth in Charlotte and the nation to promote the success of the cuts. He also pointed to bonuses handed out to workers at Bank of America, headquartered in Charlotte, and American Airlines, which has a hub at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, as proof of what the tax cuts have done.

Pence also looked at tornado damage in Greensboro and appeared at a fundraiser for Rep. Mark Walker. He was to attend a Republican National Committee event before returning to Washington.
