NORFOLK, Va (WVEC) -- 13News Now, in partnership with Virginia Ship Repair Association,
ADS, Inc., Cavalier Ford Lincoln, and the City of Norfolk's Naval Station Norfolk Centennial Commission, is honoring those who serve and their families during Military Dream Week.
Men and women in the military sacrifice days, months, and years to protect our country. 13News Now is proud that so many of those service members call the area home. The fact that so many military families call Hampton Roads "home" brings a tremendous sense of pride for the entire area as well as a sense of responsibility.
13News Now teamed up with Operation Once In A Lifetime to find stories of local service members who were in need of a helping hand or an act of kindness. The 13News Now Daybreak team surprised military community members with trips, vehicle repairs, and even a baby shower!
