Ask Landstown High's Gavin Corbe what he loves about wrestling and he'll tell you, "100% accountability for myself. I can't rely on my teammates to wrestle for me. Just all hard work and grit."
All that hard work paid off for Gavin last year when he won a state championship in the 120 lb. weight class.
His coach, John Sendzik gives us a little insight into what makes this particular state champ, "He's quiet until you really get to know him. He's really got a great sense of humor, but he's really focused. He'll do anything for you. He is the toughest kid, mentally kid, that I've had in quite awhile."
