Keyshawn Davis poised to be Olympic boxer

Keyshawn Davis would play basketball and football with his brothers, but he would get in fights with them, too. So, his parents made a wise decision when Keyshawn was 9 years old, to get him into boxing. Here we are 10 years later and Davis is on the fast track for the Olympics.

Davis is now a member of the USA Boxing High Performance squad. He trains out of northern Virginia and the U.S. Olympic training center in Colorado Springs. He is definitely on track to represent the U.S. as a lightweight in the Tokyo Olympics in 2020.

He may only be 19, but seems to have a good grasp on his sport when he says, "it's like a chess game basically. You gotta outthink your opponent, but still be ready for the physical part."

When it comes to his fight game attitude, Davis keeps it simple, "you gotta know you're the best at all times even if you're fighting the best at the time."
