Hampton head coach Mike Smith is one win away from third place for most wins all time by any high school football coach in the nation.
He hopes his Crabbers will come through with another victory Friday night against Bethel at Darling Stadium.
Smith has been the head coach at Hampton since 1971. He has totaled 477 wins, not to mention 12 state championships in his 47 years.
