ODU ready to roll with the young QB

"He's big. He's athletic. He can run. He loves playing football. He's one of the hardest workers on the team. All our players are ready to rally around him." So says ODU head coach Bobby Wilder about his new starting quarterback Steven Williams.

Williams is just 17 years old but seemed to be in command when he came off the bench to lead two touchdown drives against North Carolina.

Coach Wilder said through the first two and a half games the offense was struggling to find an identity and it was time for a change. Williams took the ball and ran with it, and threw it and took charge of the offense.

When it comes to making his first ever start against the Hokies in Blacksurg, Williams didn't hesitate to say, "The challenge is something to make be better than I could ever be really."
