In their their first appearance in a state championship game, Western Branch lost to South County 63-47.
The Bruins fell fell behind by 13 before making a run the second half. They got within 8, but South Co. stretched the lead back out in the final quarter.
Kendall Bynum led the Bruins with 13. Western Branch finished a great season with a (25-3) record.
