1,000 without power after Hampton car accident

HAMPTON, Va. (WVEC) -- Over 1,000 Dominion Energy customers were without power Tuesday night after a car crashed into a power pole.

According to a Dominion Energy spokeswomen, the accident happened around 10:30 p.m. at LaSalle and Michigan Drive.

Crews were still on the scene at 11:30 p.m. trying to switch as many customers as possible to another source of power.

According to the spokeswoman, the affecting 1,400 customers were affected.
