Hampton fashion show to benefit Alzheimer's walk

A fashion show will raise awareness about Alzheimer's Disease and raise money to help in bringing an end to it.

HAMPTON, Va. (WVEC) -- "Genesis, A Rebirth in Virginia Fashion shows for Alzheimer's" will take place on Sunday. Its focus is fundraising for the WALK to End Alzheimer's.

This one-night fashion event takes place at the Historic Post Office in Hampton from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Organizers of the event say the show will feature top elite designers from up and down the East Coast fashion industry, and is intended to unite Alzheimer’s advocates, men, women and children together for an evening of brain education, fashion and networking.

This year's Peninsula WALK to End Alzheimer's is scheduled for October 7, and will be held at Christopher Newport University in Newport News.
