Armed suspect steals groceries from Target in Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- Authorities are searching for a man who attempted to steal groceries from a Target in Virginia Beach.

According to police, on Oct. 4, at 12:47 p.m., a male suspect entered the store located at 4554 Virginia Beach Blvd. and got a shopping cart and a container. He then hid over $400 worth of groceries and left the store without paying.

When Target Loss Prevention tried to approach the man, he took out a gun and then fled the scene on foot.

There were no injuries reported.
