Detectives working to learn if Chesapeake robbery related to two other robberies

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WVEC) -- Chesapeake and Norfolk detectives are working together to learn if a robbery that happened last week at a gas station in Chesapeake is connected to two other robberies that took place in Norfolk earlier this month.

Authorities tell us that on Nov. 20, a man walked into a Shell Gas Station in the 1400 block of Battlefield Blvd. armed with a RED handgun, approached the cashier and demanded money and cigarettes.

He fled in a grey/silver four-door sedan with a sunroof that police say could possibly be a Nissan Infiniti.

The robberies that happened before this one took place within four days of each other at two Norfolk convenience stores.

What's similar between all three robberies is that a RED handgun was used in each of them, according to Norfolk police.

Police ask if you know anything about this robbery or the suspect, please call the Chesapeake Crime Line at 1-800-LOCK-U-UP.
