Hampton Police searching for armed robbery suspects

HAMPTON, Va. (WVEC) -- Police are searching for two suspects who robbed a Dollar General at gunpoint.

On Thursday around 10 p.m., police received a call about a robbery at the 2900 block of North Armistead Avenue. 

According to officials, two suspects entered the business, displayed a gun, and demanded money. After taking an undisclosed amount they fled on foot.

Both suspects were last seen heading northbound on North Armistead Avenue.

Police described the suspects as follows:

Suspect #1: A black male, 5'10–5'11, slender build, last seen wearing a black and red jacket, dark pants, dark shoes, white gloves and a purple backpack.

Suspect #2: A black male, 5'10–5'11, slender build, last seen wearing a dark jacket with red hoodie, dark pants, dark shoes, white gloves and a black backpack.

The Hampton Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact them at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
