Man robs Suffolk convenience store at knifepoint

SUFFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- Police are working to track down the suspect responsible for robbing a convenience store at knifepoint Monday afternoon.

Officers were dispatched to Sundays Blue Box Tanning Resort in the 6200 block of College Drive just after 2:30 p.m. Monday.

They made contact with the clerk who advised a subject entered the store, pulled out a knife then demanded money from the register.

The suspect fled with an unknown amount of cash.

He is described as a white male, approximately 30-years-old with facial hair and crooked teeth.

He was wearing a black hoodie, white shirt, blue jeans and sunglasses at the time of the robbery.

No one was injured during the incident.
