North Carolina deputies seek suspect in front yard shooting

HOPE MILLS, N.C. (AP) - Sheriff's deputies in North Carolina are looking for a person of interest after a man died after being found in the front yard of a home with a gunshot wound.
Sean Swain with the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said in a news release that deputies were called to a home in Hope Mills on Wednesday evening.
Swain said deputies found 49-year-old Terry Leake in the front yard. Leake was taken to Cape Fear Valley hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Deputies are looking for a man considered a person of interest who was seen driving from the scene.
