Pedestrian identified in fatal hit and run in Norfolk, police looking for driver

NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- Police are looking for a suspect after a fatal pedestrian hit and run Tuesday night.

Authorities have identified the victim as 27-year-old John Cutillo III, a Pennsylvania man. 

Norfolk police tweeted on Wednesday around 12:30 a.m. that there was an accident at Saint Paul's Boulevard and E. Charlotte Street at 10:40 p.m.

The investigation has revealed that a red Jeep SUV was driving recklessly southbound on Saint Paul's Boulevard and struck Cutillo while he was attempting to cross the intersection of E. Charlotte Street.

Medics pronounced Cutillo dead on the scene.

The red SUV is expected to have front-end damage from the incident. 

A Cadillac Escalade also struck Cutillo as a result of the initial crash. The driver of that vehicle stayed on scene.
