Police investigating robbery at SunTrust Bank in Hampton

HAMPTON, Va. (WVEC) -- Hampton police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect who robbed a SunTrust Bank on Wednesday.

Officers were dispatched to the bank located in the first block of East Queens Way at 9:29 a.m.

An investigation found the suspect entered the bank, implied he was armed and demanded money. After taking an unknown amount of money, the suspect fled the scene on foot.

There were no injuries.

Police describe the suspect as a black male, standing 5'8" to 6'0" and weighing 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket with a fur-lined hood, black balaclava covering his face and dark pants.
