PASQUOTANK Co., N.C. (WVEC) -- A woman is recovering after she was shot in the leg during an apparent drive-by shooting.
Pasquotank County Sheriff's deputies were alerted to the shooting around 5:30 p.m. on October 16.
Authorities say the victim, Sana Mohammad Awadallah, was driving into the Queenswood Subdivision when she heard gunshots.
Awadallah allegedly believes that the shots came from a car that passed her as she was getting ready to turn.
Authorities say the only description of the car they have is that it either has two or four doors and is a shade of blue, possibly turquoise.
Awadallah's son was also in the car at the time of the shooting but was not injured.
