NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- Twenty-seven people are losing their jobs at Tidewater Community College.
The school blames the layoffs on a drop in enrollment, and deep budget cuts from the state.
According to our partners at The Virginian-Pilot, TCC is forced to bridge an $8.5 million budget gap.
The school will also cut library hours, and change reimbursement rules for employees. Vacant positions will remain unfilled.
None of the job cuts are teaching positions.
They go into effect June 30.
