Elizabeth City hotel evacuated after bomb threat

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WVEC) -- Visitors and employees were evacuated after a bomb threat was called in to a hotel Thursday evening. 

Someone called the Days Inn hotel on South Hughes Blvd. just before 6 p.m. claiming there was a bomb in the building. 

When officers arrived they evacuated the building and the bomb team from the Currituck County Sheriff Office searched the hotel. No explosives were found and all guests were allowed back inside. 

No suspect information has been released.
