Free youth football camp offered in Chesapeake

The Chesapeake Sheriff's Office is volunteering at the Children Today Leaders Tomorrow free youth football camp that starts June 29.

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WVEC) -- Children Today Leaders Tomorrow, CTLT, is hosting a free youth football camp starting Thursday.

Chesapeake kids aged 10 to 14 can participate in the  camp to learn fundamental skills, team-building, and personal leadership.

The camp is on Thursday, June 19, Friday, June 30 and Saturday, July 1. 

Thursday and Friday the camp is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Saturday the camp ends at 1 p.m..

The camp is lead by head coach Cadillac Harris and other local coaches from college, high school, and middle school levels.

The Chesapeake Sheriff's Office will also have caring volunteers at the camp offering support, advice, friendship, reinforcement and constructive examples.

All of the volunteers, coaches and police officers, will be there to help mentor the children and teach them basic football skills, and run them through offensive and defensive drills.
