Hampton Police arrest man in connection to Lewis Rd. shooting

HAMPTON, Va. (WVEC) -- Police have arrested one person in connection to a shooting that occurred last month.

Officials arrested 32-year-old Timothy Keith McDonalds, Monday. 

On December 10, emergency crews were called to the 200 block of W. Lewis Rd. just after 7 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found a 38-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. That man was taken to a local area hospital for non-life threatening injuries. 

An investigation revealed that the victim was walking when he was approached by a stranger. That stranger then displayed a gun and shot towards the victim, hitting him once. The suspect then ran away. 

McDonald has warrants on file for Maiming, Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Discharging a Firearm in Public.
