Precautionary lockdown lifted at 2 Norfolk schools

NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- The precautionary lockdown has been lifted at Norview High School and Norview Middle School. 

Norfolk Police Department spokesperson Officer Daniel Hudson tells 13News Now the schools were placed on a lockdown after someone reported shots heard on Sewells Point Road around 11 a.m. on Wednesday. 

When officers arrived, they found several cars and one house struck by bullets.

The lockdown was lifted at 11:50 a.m.
