Argument leads to man being stabbed and other arrested in Va. Beach

One person has been charged following a stabbing that happened in a pub parking lot. 13News Now Steven Graves has the details.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- A man was stabbed because of an argument. Police were able to arrest suspect on location Monday night.

Around 1:35 a.m. police responded to an unrelated case when they heard screaming coming from the parking lot of Blarney Stone Pub at 172 S. Plaza Trail.

Officers were informed that a man had been stabbed and that the suspect was on the scene.

One male victim was found with non-life threatening injuries.

Police arrested Marquel Antonia Lasala, 21, or the 3200 block of Florence Street.

Lasala was charged with felonious assault and is currently being held in the Virginia Beach Correctional Center without bond.

It was determined by investigators that the assault stemmed from a verbal altercation that occurred inside Blarney Stone Pub.

No further information was released.
