Bicyclist injured in hit-and-run

NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- One person is injured following a hit-and-run crash in Norfolk yesterday.

Jo Ann Hughes, Norfolk police spokesperson, said the man was riding his bike in a crosswalk in the 3600 block of Sewells Point Road when he was hit by a car.

Police were notified of the incident just before 2:30 p.m. 

The bicyclist was taken to a local hospital for his injuries and is expected to be okay.

There is no information on a possible suspect at this time.
