Chesapeake woman dies following weekend interstate crash

NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- A Chesapeake woman has passed away after a weekend crash in Norfolk.

Virginia State Police say that on Sunday afternoon, a car swerved toward a Chevrolet in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 64, near Northampton Boulevard.

That Chevrolet was forced onto the right shoulder, where the driver lost control and then then hit a Ford Explorer. The Ford flipped, and a passenger was thrown out.

The passenger, 30 year old Chelsey Rossman, died on Wednesday.

No charges are pending, and police have not found the car that started the entire accident.
