Crews working on smoky mulch, vehicle fire in Virginia Beach

Roads have reopened in Virginia Beach after a mulch fire caused problems for several hours

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- A mulch and vehicle fire sent smoke high into the air in Virginia Beach on Wednesday.

According to dispatch, the fire occurred off Taylor Farms Road. The road has been closed down on both sides.

No injuries have been reported.

The fire is expected to smolder and smoke for several hours, and it is not threatening any structures or surrounding areas. The Virginia Beach Fire Department will remain on the scene.
