NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- Dominion Virginia Power says it has restored power to the majority of the over 470,000 customers who experienced outages due to Hurricane Matthew.
Dominion says that as of 7 a.m. Thursday:
- All but about 900 of the 471,271 customers affected by the storm since Saturday have had power restored.
- Over the last 24 hours, Dominion has made repairs to over 1,094 outage locations and restored service to more than 11,087 customers.
Dominion had more than 3,500 people helping to restore power, including from as far away as Massachusetts and Florida.

Residents are also encouraged to use Dominion's online outage map to report and track outages.
