Man arrested, armed robbery of barber shop

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- A man was arrested for after he robbed the Style Rite Barber Shop with a long gun Thursday night.

According to police, Carlos Devires Fentress, 42, entered the business at 5020 Ferrell Parkway with the gun around 9 p.m..

He threatened a victim, and took items and fled the scene.

Officers and members of the department's K9 unit hunted Fentress down and took him into custody.

He is being charged with robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Right now, Fentress is being held in the Virginia Beach Correctional Center without bond.

Frentress's last known address is in the 2200 block of Natoma Drive in Virginia Beach.
