Donald Trump Jr. cancels appearance at Chesapeake GOP rally

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WVEC) -- Officials say Donald Trump Jr. will not be making a stop in Chesapeake today as scheduled.

Trump was set to make an appearance at a campaign rally for 3rd Congressional District candidate Marty Williams, a Chesapeake Republican running against Democratic incumbent Bobby Scott.

An official statement from Trump campaign spokesman, Mark Lloyd read, "Political campaigns are fast moving and very often schedules are required to change."

Officials with the Williams campaign say the rally will still begin Sunday at 2:30 p.m. It will be held at the Quad-City Trump Headquarters located at 4425 Portsmouth Blvd.
