No injuries in Chesapeake condominium fire

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WVEC) -- No one was injured Wednesday following an early morning house fire in Chesapeake, officials say.

Simone Gulisano with Chesapeake Fire said firefighters were called to the 1400 block of Orchard Grove Drive at 2:05 a.m. Arriving seven minutes later, they found light smoke coming from a two-story condominium.

The fire reportedly involved a hot water heater in the attic of the home. It was quckly extinguished and deemed under control at 2:30 a.m.
