Police: Man armed with knife robbed 2 Chesapeake convenience stores

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WVEC) -- Police are searching for an armed suspect accused of robbing two convenience stores hours apart. 

Police say the crimes occurred on April 15.

At around 3 a.m., the man walked into a convenience store in the 2200 block of S. Military Hwy. Police say he was armed with a knife and demanded money from the cashier. 

About three hours later, at 6 a.m., the same armed suspect hit another convenience store located in the 600 block of S. Battlefield Blvd. 

The man fled from both scenes with an undisclosed amount of money. There were no injuries reported.
