Crime Line tip leads to arrest in Hampton robbery investigation

HAMPTON, Va. (WVEC) -- Hampton Police say a Crime Line tip led to the arrest of two men in a robbery investigation. 

Police say the robbery happened around 10:15 p.m. on June 9 in the 1900 block of Coliseum Drive. The victim, a 39-year-old man from Lynchburg, says he was walking to his room when two suspects robbed him at gunpoint. 

Police have since arrested 33-year-old Andre Nathaniel Jackson and 19-year-old Deshaun Marquis Mitchell. 

Jackson is facing Robbery, Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon charges. 

Mitchell has been charged with Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony, Robbery and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony. Police say some of the charges stem from a separate incident.
